Nordic-Inspired 2-to-3 Bedroom Transformation
This design project in Siu Sai Wan's Fu Yan Garden addresses the growing needs of a family by ingeniously transforming a 500 sq. ft. two-bedroom unit into a functional three-bedroom home, infused with a minimalist and practical Nordic aesthetic. The renovation prioritizes flexible living and efficient space utilization.
The rectangular living and dining area is thoughtfully divided into two distinct zones, with a sofa naturally delineating the spaces. A feature wall in the living room, adorned with special artistic paint, serves as a visual focal point. Crucially, a hidden door in the corridor discreetly separates the public living and dining areas from the private bedroom quarters, enhancing privacy and tranquility.
The master bedroom's entrance was strategically relocated to accommodate the sister's room. It features a platform bed design, offering both comfort and additional storage beneath. The overall design reflects a commitment to practical elegance and a serene living environment.
