A Harmonious Haven Crafted from Traditional Japanese Aesthetics and Natural Materials

The designer's vision for this home was to create a Japanese-style ambiance that is rich in layers and imbued with a sense of breathability, achieved through the thoughtful stacking of various natural materials and meticulous craftsmanship. In the living and dining areas, the traditional Japanese shoji concept, known for its ability to regulate light and shadow, has been skillfully integrated. This is further enhanced by a distinctive feature wall in the dining area and a hidden door along the corridor, collectively amplifying the Japanese aesthetic.

Instead of traditional shoji, the designer opted for wallpaper with a bamboo and rattan texture, complemented by specialized glass that mimics the delicate feel of washi paper. When light permeates through the glass of the hidden door, it casts a soft glow, imbuing the space with a harmonious and tranquil atmosphere.

The original two rooms of the unit have been reconfigured into a master bedroom, an exclusive walk-in closet, and a serene study. All room entrances feature space-saving sliding doors, ensuring a fluid and unobstructed flow throughout the home.
