A Modern Minimal Space for Family with Kids and Collectables
The owner of this 827-sq.ft. residence is a young family with two kids. Showcasing their countless figures and collectables is the key concern for their new home. Designers balanced the functionality and minimalism of the space by making use of glass mainly to create a spacious and bright living environment.
The space is designed with a Modern Minimal style, with calming shades of soft blues, white and natural wood colour. While interacting with a warm tone of dining furniture set, living table and TV wall so that the space feels cozy and harmonious.
Create a space surrounded with favourite items. A glass cabinet beside the TV mall and behind the sofa were designed to provide more display and storage spaces. The minimal interior style and glass cabinet make the figures and collectables prominent in living room. The glass partition seamlessly transitions between the family’s gathering space and private realms, yet doesn't compromise on aesthetics and functionality. The upper part provides the display place for the living room, and the lower part plays the role of storing books for study. Glass partition wall allows light to flow and opens up spaces. The transparency also encourages family interaction.
Into the master bedroom, the space is imbued with a warm and a hue of soft beige. Oak wood wardrobe and a sleek curve design soften up the space and ambience.
Considering the children’s needs when growing up, an oak wood bunk bed, a simple and modern style of wall-mounted cabinet and desk are well equipped in this space to prepare for the future possibilities.
