A Minimal and Serene Interior with Gentle and Calming Curves
Open kitchen layouts have been widely applied to new apartments in recent years. When planning on interior and spatial design of living and dining areas, colour scheme and functionality of the original open kitchen are the vital elements. In this 557 square-feet 3-bedrooms apartment located at Wetland Seasons Bay, simple, comfort and harmony are injected into the design for the family of four.
When having a struggle of storage function and activity space, our designers replaced the traditional dining table with a multifunctional kitchen island to maintain the balance of functionality and flexibility. The extendable dining table was cleverly hidden in the kitchen island which facilitates a flexible and spacious area. In the living area, the blend of rich textures escalated the sense of layering and tactility. The serene interior palette ensures the home’s innate charm and architectural details remain the focus. With the slatted wood featuring the curve details, it connects each space in a subtle way.
The designer ensures the continuity and flow created through the harmonious transition between spaces, materials and detailing. Through the considerable use of white and grey monochromatic shade, it cultivates a minimal and timeless soothing space.
The master bedroom was imbued with light and natural tones and curated with a subtle mix of dark wood and light beige velvet, which reflects the characteristics of serene, earnest and taciturn.
